Everybody Wins DC is Proud to Announce
Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) as the
25th Annual Gala Honoree
The 25th Annual Everybody Wins DC Gala will recognize its longest-serving partner – the U.S. Congress – by honoring Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) at the Gala. Senator Burr will receive the Distinguished Service Award for his instrumental role in EWDC’s early “wins” as an organization.

Senator Burr is part of the first class of Congressional mentors to read at Tyler Elementary, a public elementary school just a few blocks away from Capitol Hill. As a mentor for over a decade, Senator Burr led the charge in ushering in a new wave of Congressional mentors to Tyler Elementary.

We are incredibly grateful to have Senator Burr's support and are proud to recognize him for his commitment to service through reading.

2020 Leadership Circle Chair,
Will McKelvey
We’re very excited to  announce  that Will McKelvey is making the leap to become our inaugural Leadership Circle Chair! Will is full of energy and we are ecstatic to have him take the lead. This is Will’s 2nd year reading with his student Max. After only a few months into the program, he decided he wanted to do more to help students like Max and joined EWDC's Leadership Circle to expand his impact beyond the 1-hour reading session.

"I loved reading when I was his age, and the opportunity to see and help nurture that same passion in him is incredibly rewarding. As a staffer on Capitol Hill, it's an honor to help lead the program championed by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy and I plan on continuing to work to lift up Everybody Wins..."
