Child Tutors Needed!!

We need you! We are currently seeking volunteers to tutor in our summer child tutoring session. In this program, tutors partner with students one to one to improve reading and math skills through fun learning games. Child tutors need to be 16 years old.

Next child tutor training is

Wednesday, June 21st, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Volunteer Applications are available at our website, www.readlapeer.org. You can also pick an application up at our office at 311 Higgins Street in Lapeer. Please return the applications to the FLC office or send them via email to [email protected]

Join us! Family Literacy Center Playgroups are designed for families with children 5 years old and younger. Sessions include story-time, crafts, music, and more! It is a great opportunity to meet other families with children the same age and make new friends! This program is funded by United Way of Lapeer County.

Kindergarten Readiness Open for Registration!

Join us at this fun workshop for 4-5 years old and their families! You and your child will enjoy fun learning activities that help your child prepare for kindergarten success. You will learn new activities at every session. Sign up for one session or all of them!
