LITURGY, COMMUNITY, & ONGOING EVENTS

A Time of Gratitude and Looking Ahead

With grateful hearts, we share the news that Monsignor Jameson has announced his retirement. His years of faithful service, pastoral care, and dedication to our parish community have touched many lives. While this transition is still some time away, we wanted to take this opportunity to give thanks for Monsignor’s many years of devoted service and leadership in our community.

Please click on the image above to read Monsignor Jameson's letter to parishioners and learn more about this important transition.

A Landmark Restored

A defining part of Monsignor Jameson's legacy at St. Matthew’s was his leadership in overseeing the Cathedral’s first complete restoration. The restoration campaign began in 1999 and was completed in 2003, culminating on September 21, 2003, the Feast of St. Matthew the Apostle. Watch a documentary chronicling the Cathedral’s restoration to learn more.

Thank You to our Parish Family for Coming Together to Celebrate Our Patronal Feast Day!

Read Fr. Isaac's beautiful homily celebrating our parish, who we are as Catholics, and recognizing Monsignor Jameson's long service to our community.

Missed the Lecture? Listen Now

If you missed our recent Catholic Social Teaching Fellowship Lecture, “What Does the Church Teach About the Economy?” You can now listen to the audio recording of the presentation by economist and author Anthony Annett, author of Cathonomics. Annett explores how Catholic social teaching can help us think about the economy in light of human dignity, the common good, and our responsibility to one another.

All are welcome to join the lectures at St. Matthew's Cathedral every second Sunday of the month. Please visit the Cathedral website for more details.

"I Want to Do Faith Together"

As the Catholic Church looks back on Father Tolton’s pioneering legacy this fall, a recent interview with Bishop Boxie reminds us that the journey toward unity and representation continues. Just as Father Tolton broke barriers with faith and grace in the past, we are called today to walk in holiness together.
