Infancy is a vulnerable stage of development, therefore,
it's not enough that babies receive good care,
the care must be excellent.

EDUCARING®THE CHILD'S BODY/MIND: THE CONTINUITY OF ATTACHMENT IN THE EARLIEST YEARS
Saturday, April 16, 2016*
(*Opening Reception the Evening Prior)
Skirball Center
Los Angeles, California
Keynote Speaker: Lou Cozolino, Ph.D.
Lou Cozolino, Ph.D., is a prolific author and Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University. In his book, The Neuroscience of Human Relationships: Attachment and the developing social brain he states, "we humans are highly dependent newborns whose brains are shaped through years of interactions with our caretakers and the environment."
Magda Gerber's Educaring
® Approach encourages infants and adults to trust each other, learn to problem solve, and embrace their ability for self-discovery. When allowed to unforld in their own way and in their own time, children discover and inspire the best in themselves and in others.
I wish children could grow according to their natural pace: sleep when sleepy, wake up when rested, eat when hungry, cry when upset, express feelings, play and explore without being unnecessarily interrupted; in other words, be allowed to grow and blossom as each was meant to do.
OUR GOAL IN THE COMING YEAR IS TO STRIVE TO FULFILL MAGDA'S WISH.
Your gift will help us continue to educate as many parents and caregivers to see infants as Magda did, as competent and capable people and to observe, understand and respect the individuality of each child.
