28 Students Inducted into Marquette's National Honor Society Chapter

Monday Evening's Ceremony Highlighted Commitment to Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character

Marquette Catholic High School ushered in its latest class of National Honor Society members Monday evening inside St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. With sponsor Stacey Cassady, principal Katie Collignon, and numerous faculty members looking on, 28 students were welcomed into the school's prestigious chapter.

Chapter president Alexandria Sierra served as mistress of ceremonies for the evening. Secretary Jeffery Welch and vice president Brennan Recktenwall recited a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, respectively. Sedona Vendramin summarized the history behind Bishop Andrew Gregory Grutka's namesake of Marquette's chapter.

The program continued as seniors took turns detailing the four pillars of National Honor Society: scholarship (Nicole Schenzel), leadership (Anne Marie Wadle), service (Davion Williams), and character (Jacob Kelly).

2023 National Honor Society inductees Livia Balling, Katherine Sheerin, Bella Jiang, and Maya Ruiz then led the latest inductees in lighting their candles. Collignon delivered congratulatory remarks once each inductee signed the official National Honor Society book.
