29 - April 11, 2021
If you are being transferred outside of Bogota, and you already know you will not be coming back to CNG for the 2021-22 school year, please email withdrawals@cng.edu as soon as possible and we will assist you with your withdrawal process.
We are excited to celebrate our CNG Arts and Tech Fest next week, April 12th - 16th. Our community will be engaging in various events, and families at home can get involved too! You can:

  • Encourage your student to submit work for our showcase, explore student art, creations, and performances in our galleries.
  • Ask about the professional artists students will meet during classes.
  • Brainstorm ideas for a note they could write to a healthcare worker.

We hope this week you can find moments to celebrate all the amazing Art and Technology we have going on at CNG.
Dear Parents:

In addition to the Arts and Tech Fest news, we would like to share with you an important reminder about CNG’s detailed and well-established Child and Adolescent Protection policies and protocols. During these times of Distance and Hybrid Learning, we need highlight this vital information, since our students are increasingly vulnerable due to their increased amounts of screen time. You can read more here in English as well as in Spanish

Warm Regards,
Remember to bookmark the Parents As Partners HUB on your phone and laptop for easy access to important information for CNG parents.

Counselors

Dear CNG Community,

In light of the pandemic and our current shared planetary reality, there have been stories of suffering and despair that have kindled others of hope, empathy, compassion, honesty, awareness. And we need more of those, to cope. As writer Jill Lepore from The New Yorker explains: “(…) there are more things to admire in men than to despise (…) More things, human after all.”

Now, as the vaccination scheme begins to unroll, we can start to dream going back to something similar to what we were used to. Lepore explains that “In the literature of contagion, when society is finally free of disease, it’s up to humanity to decide how to begin again.”

How do we begin again, then? By being more human, seems to be the answer.

Athletics & Condor Activities

The Condor Activities Department and Athletics Department would like CNG families to keep in mind the statement from Jerry Jones as we head into the final stretch of school, “Everybody is pretty good in the first quarter. Second quarter, you have a little bump or two on you coming into the half. By the time the third quarter comes around, you're tired, you're laboring. When you come to the fourth quarter, it calls on your character.”

Fortunately, we can make a quick transition back to on-campus learning. The Athletics Department is planning to return to on-campus Saturday activities (Pending Biosecurity Recommendations). Saturday, April 17, we are planning to offer group A athletic practice, and Saturday, April 24, group B will be able to participate in practice. Information regarding Saturday practice will be distributed within the Skyward messaging system. Athletes coaching staff will also be able to provide details.

Condor Activities will continue to participate in virtual sessions due to the availability of a consistent schedule and the virtual programs’ strength already in place.
