2B Kid's Corner

Welcome to the 2B Kids Newsletter! Each month, we'll share upcoming events, important dates, volunteer opportunities, and resources to help your family stay connected to Children's Ministry at Second Baptist.

We believe children's ministry is a partnership between the church and families, and we're grateful to walk alongside you as we help our children discover God's love, grow in faith, and know they belong.

Part One: Discipleship Begins at Home

Faith formation doesn’t only happen at church! Discover how the everyday moments you already share as a family can become meaningful opportunities to help your child grow in faith.

Part Two:

Bringing Faith Home

Wondering what faith formation actually looks like at home? Part Two offers simple, age-appropriate ideas for weaving faith into the routines your family is already doing.

Family Outing: Moonlight Musical

Cost: Free! | When: Friday, October 16th

Register by October 2nd

2B Kids Families and volunteers are invited to join us for a family night at Moonlight Musicals’ The Prince of Egypt on Friday, October 16! Our kids will be learning about Moses on Wednesday nights leading up to the show, and we’re excited to experience the story together.

Tickets are free, and your whole family is invited! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please check your calendar and RSVP by October 2 so we can reserve your tickets.

Parent's Hang Out

Join us at Starbucks (98th & Slide) on Sundays from 5:00–6:30 PM for coffee and conversation. There’s no no agenda or programming—just a laid-back space to get to know other parents and enjoy some time together.

Childcare is available at the church for birth–5th grade, with a light dinner provided.

Next Volunteer Training:

November 8th

2B Kids volunteers are invited to join us for our next volunteer training Sunday, November 08, after Sunday School in the Conference Room for lunch and learning.

Know someone who might enjoy serving with our kids? Bring them along! This is a great opportunity for them to learn more!
