Our #2lanetravel has led us to the Georgia State Capitol for the past two weeks as we are continuing our time in Special Session deliberating on the redistricting of House, Senate, and Congressional Maps!
Carroll County GOP:

We had the opportunity to speak at the Carroll County GOP hosted by La Trattoria restaurant in Downtown Carrollton. Chairman Rick Tillman facilitated the meeting that was well-attended. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised on many fronts that day including the lady that openly said she is the current Commissioner Mark Butler's cousin followed by... "Honey, he needs to go!"

The best surprise was seeing a childhood friend from Montana walk in the meeting. I haven't seen Kurt in over 40 years and when he approached me I was very surprised. Kirt moved to Carrollton around 6 years ago when Southwire acquired Coleman Cable Inc. I love meeting new people on the campaign trail, but nothing beats reconnecting with old friends after so many years!

C.L. Tidwell Breakfast in Bartow County:

If I've learned anything while traveling the State campaigning to become the next Labor Commissioner, I've learned how unique and special each county is within this great state. One such county is Bartow County where a southern gentleman named C.L. Tidwell started a Sunday morning breakfast on his property over 30 years ago. Rain or shine, holiday or not, over 100 men from all over the state gather together in his cabin on Sugar Valley Road to discuss family, eat breakfast, and even campaign before heading off to their respected churches. On any given Sunday, you may see a Governor, U.S. Senator, or a member of Congress fellowshipping alongside members of the Bartow community. This past Sunday was no different as Butch Miller our Pro-Tempore in the Senate joined us.

Forsyth Republican Women:

We had the privilege of participating at the Republican Women of Forsyth County Veterans Event on Tuesday of last week. Led by Chair Stacy Ridings, RWFC is one of the most active GOP groups in the state, and this evening was no exception! The Polo Golf and Country Club was packed and we were thrilled to meet so many new supporters while handing out over 54 yard signs!!!!!

I am especially thankful to my dear friend, Marci McCarthy for introducing me with her kind words and support for our campaign for Labor Commissioner!

Veterans Day 2021:

Last week, we attended a Veterans Day ceremony at the Capitol with other elected officials and veterans to observe Governor Kemp sign a proclamation honoring veterans! It was great to see our incredible friend, General Tom Carden and thank him for all that he does.

Veterans Day is a great day to remember that our freedom is never free.
We want to wish a Happy Veterans Day to all that have served and currently serve in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed so much to keep our country safe and strong

As a veteran myself, I’m honored to stand with the men and women who have served this great nation!!!
