Details:

Edison Career and Technology High School will host its second annual College and Career Fair on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity for area colleges, business professionals, and community partners to share information with students and families as they make decisions about future plans. Students and families will be able to talk about job openings with potential employers, meet with college representatives, and network with community members.

“This event is open to everyone in the community,” said Chennita Gartrell, an RCSD counselor and college and career fair coordinator. “We want families to be able to learn more about training programs, receive financial aid information, and get connected to service providers so they can explore viable options when considering higher education and career choices.”

Twenty-two colleges and 30 community partners/employers are providing information to students and families.

In conjunction with the school’s College and Career Fair, Edison will also be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week with industry, labor, workforce, and government leaders. National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity to highlight how registered apprenticeship provides a critical talent pipeline that can help address some of the nation’s pressing workforce challenges. Rochester is home to many apprenticeship programs, and through Edison’s CTE pathways, students are able to enter employment and work-based learning programs.
