Lunch and Learns
In an effort to continue bringing value to our memberships and help our local businesses, the Chamber will be hosting "Lunch And Learns" throughout the year with great topics. Our first lunch and learn, Chamber 101, was held this week. Members learned how to maximize their benefits and get involved. Stay tuned for information and topics for our next lunch and learn.

Member Referral Program
This past week, the Chamber rolled out a special summer referral program.  Referrals help our organization grow and contributes to the vitality of our business community.  A larger membership base strengthens the Chamber's voice on issues of importance, enhances services for our members and provides more business connections. Find out how a referral can put money in your pocket! Call the Chamber for more information.

Ribbon Cuttings
A ribbon cutting for the new Donut Palace was held Monday, June 26th.
Advanced  Pest Solutions held a ribbon cutting on June 21st at Walter Johnson Park.

Are We on Track?
In March, we unveiled a few of our goals for the year. With new staff members and changes at the Chamber, it was important to focus on areas we could immediately impact while working on our long term strategic goals. Here is a brief look at just two of those goals:
  • Increase communication with membership, increase promotion of membership and improvement of member relations.
    • Implemented a monthly newsletter, social media daily engagements, website integration of CNN events and calendar events, and increased e-blasts with important happenings in Coffeyville.
    • Increased social media presence and promoted our local business members and community events. In fact, last month, we had almost 5,000 post engagements!
    • Personal visits to over 80 member visits.
  • Implement valued-added committees that are member driven.
    • Hosted the Industrial Roundtable with member goal to meet monthly this year.
    • Welcomed new Ambassadors and introduced new guidelines for the committee to make the biggest impact.
    • Engaged and motivated the Board Finance Committee to review new accounting policy manual, economic development loan programs and budgeting guidelines.
    • Requested member involvement in three more committees we would love to see engaged and active again: Downtown Committee, Retail Committee and Agri-business/4-H committee. Unfortunately, we are not seeing strong involvement so far. Each of the committees oversee important events, programs and activities that impact Coffeyville. Call today to see how you can get involved!
