November 15, 2023

Greetings Ospreys,

As we approach the end of the semester, we want to encourage all students and families to check 2nd semester schedules in Infinite Campus to make sure elective choices are aligned with postsecondary goals and AHS graduation requirements.

Students can request changes to 2nd semester schedules until January 17 by meeting with our registrar, Maureen Truax in person, or by using the Add/Drop Form, which is open now. It’s best  to make any requests for changes before next semester begins so students can start the New Year with the best possible schedule. Please refer to the Course Selection and Postsecondary Readiness slideshow for reminders about factors to consider when selecting elective classes.

There are three changes to elective offerings for 2nd semester:

  • Introduction to Healthcare Professions will not be offered 2nd semester; students who currently have this course in their schedule will need to select an alternative elective for 6th period

Here is the updated 23/24 elective schedule. You can read full course descriptions for all classes in the 23/24 Course Catalog. It’s not too late to register for 2nd semester concurrent enrollment classes. Please see this email about concurrent enrollment from Erin Cummins-Roper for full details about that option. Seniors can also connect with Elliot Baglini at [email protected] if they are interested in setting up a LINK 2.0 Internship for elective credit next semester.

Schedule changes will be reflected in Infinite Campus before the end of this semester. Please remember that not all requests will necessarily be honored, as classes sometimes fill.

If you have questions about which elective choices are best for you, reach out to Erin Cummins-Roper at [email protected]. For questions about graduation requirements and credits earned to date, reach out to Maureen Truax at [email protected].
