Special Book in the Library

By special request, the book Poverty, by America by Matthew Desmond is now available to be checked out. This is a new book by the author of Evicted. Our Go Team has been educating our congregation on poverty in America. They have diligently involved us in many programs besides the ones we are most familiar with.

Books can be checked out by signing the card in the back and dropping the card in the box on top of the card catalog.

This month (MAY), the FISH Pantry is in special need of household and personal items:

Deodorant
Dish soap
Shampoo
Toilet paper
Men's adult diapers (M-XL)

All food purchases and other items made by our coordinating team are paid for out of a church-designated fund specific to the Fish mission. If you feel called to contribute to that fund, you can do so at any time of the year by check (Fish Fund in the memo line), the church website (click on “Give,” then “Fish” in the Fund drop-down), or Realm (click on “Giving,” then “Fish” in the Fund drop-down).
