Dear Friends, Our office is buzzing with work and excitement for the 24th Annual Walk/Run/Yoga Fundraiser & Community Expo that will take place on Saturday, September 30 at Quarry Lakes Regional Park in Fremont. This popular fundraiser benefits HERS very important assistance programs, plus it’s a fun way to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  There will be a lot going on during this event. How will you choose to participate in this inspiring, impactful, and energizing morning? 5K Walk  Timed 5K or 10K run (course details) Yoga or Bust (a fun and light-hearted gentle yoga class for all ages and abilities led by Sherri Plaza)  Virtual Walk or Run (you choose the place and time) Be sure to register before end of day (Pacific time) Monday, September 18 to receive commemorative t-shirt How about getting your friends/family/co-workers to join you and form a team? And even go the "extra mile" by coming in costumes! Trophies will be awarded to the best costumes -- how fun! Wait… there’s even more to do besides Walking/Running/Doing Yoga…. Community Expo with information booths from sponsors, local businesses and nonprofits Welcome and opening ceremony hosted by KTVU Fox 2 & KTVU Plus Anchor Heather Holmes  Elaine’s Memorial Circle, a moment of quiet reflection to honor breast cancer patients and survivors “There’s No Place Like Hope” Footprint Booth, created and sponsored by members of the Buentello and Gilligan families Kids entertainment BBQ lunch (includes a vegetarian option) for registered participants, sponsored by Dutra Enterprises A very special THANK YOU to our event sponsors who are committed to ensuring that breast cancer patients in need receive post-surgical products and services that help them heal physically and emotionally.
