A Message From Michelle
Dear Families,

We are heading into Week 2 of our Covid-19 response and wanted to reach out to you. We continue to understand and empathize with all of you. We are all feeling the impact of this global crisis and we want to assure you that we are continuing to care for all your family; our residents just like we did before all of this began!

We continue to have no positive cases of Covid-19 at present. We are encouraging all residents and staff to practice social distancing. We are checking the temperatures of all staff upon entry and exit to the building.

If you are on Social Media, we encourage you to ‘like’ us on our FaceBook page. Last week, we posted a video of our residents answering the ‘Jimmy Fallon Challenge’ of ringing bells at 3:00 pm on Friday in recognition of the healthcare workers in America. Everyone enjoyed the smiles this brought!

We have also initiated the “Bring in Spring’ flower collection for our residents. We also posted this on FaceBook and we are hoping that everyone collects the daffodils or spring flowers growing in their gardens and floods our facility with Springtime! These flowers will be placed in all resident rooms and at the nurse’s stations. Let’s together make Pickering Manor look like the Philadelphia Flower Show!!

With Activities, Nursing and Social Services, we are trying to FaceTime, Skype and facilitate calls between the residents and all of you. Please contact us if you have an iPhone to sign up for Skype.

We will continue to be in contact with you, but we encourage all of you to reach out to us for any reason; regardless of the time. If you want information; call us. If you want to donate cards or flowers; call us. If you’re lonely and want to speak to your loved one; call us. We are here.

As always, thank you for your support,

Michelle Knobloch
Chief Executive Officer
