Greetings Soroptimists!

Happy Committee Meeting Week to you all. A couple of things to note:

Please sign up for our volunteering opportunities! We especially need help with working the Home and Garden show. Thanks in advance.

Please help promote Hilarity for Charity! Can't wait for all the laughs we will have together!

Finally, I want to let you all know that we had a unexpected glitch occur with our Camp Fire form that allowed survivors to ask us for assistance. Though the system allowed us to input a forwarding address with no sign of trouble, submitted forms DID NOT get forwarded to us and instead went into a holding space. Luckily, Joyce became aware of this situation and we have been able to address it. A letter is being emailed to all those who made requests and we will do our best to remedy this unfortunate technology fail and make things right by assisting as much as possible. The Camp Fire Ad-Hoc Committee is on the job. Let me know if you have questions about this.

It's another great week to be a Soroptimist!

With Gratitude,
Soroptimist International of Chico

It is that time again to vote for the SIA  President.  Our Delegates have viewed their resumes and have voted for the one that they believe will be the best one in the following order:

2) Bonnie Dominchuk
3) Penny Babb
4) Margo Hartman

Revision is Complete

  • The Board approved the Draft Bylaws at the March 19, 2019 meeting.
  • Approving the new version will be an introduction item at the April 3 Business Meeting.
  • The membership has a month to review the changes for a vote at the May 1 Business Meeting.
The complete document and an overview of the changes that were made are attached for your reading pleasure to cast an informed vote in May.

TRAINING

If you are new to volunteering as a server or if you regularly participate at the Jesus Center you should attend this training.  There are some instructions for the newer system of signing in when we serve, getting your own serving number in order to sign in,  training sessions with fellow servers and meeting the new coordinator would be a good thing for those who are interested to attend. Here is an email I received from Shawna Burhans with the date and time of the training

Members that haven't volunteered yet, but are interested in being a server should attend this training as well.

Thank you,

Amy Hawes
