BBVLP Attorneys help clients at first Domestic Relations Pro Se Docket
BBVLP Attorneys helped pro se clients appearing in
Judge Patricia Stephens courtroom last week during the first ever self-represented docket in Domestic Relations.
At Judge Stephens' request, the BBVLP was present at the docket to provide help to low-income clients who filed on their own but might need a helping hand from a pro bono attorney to get their case concluded.
Attorneys
Jessica Drennan, Kirk Drennan Law,
Heather Fann, Fann Law,
Courtney Brown Dubberly,
Sandi Eubank Gregory Firm,
John Milledge, and
April Bauder, The Merrell Law Firm, helped clients with everything from how to establish paternity to completing a final judgment of divorce.
The new docket allows attorneys to immediately help low-income clients who otherwise would have their cases dismissed because they could not afford an attorney and did not know all the ins and outs of filing a divorce or other family law issue.
The next Pro Se Docket is April 27th from 9:00-12:00, in Judge Nakita Blocton's court room. Volunteer to help by clicking
