BEN CARTER PROPOSES OUTLET MALL OF GEORGIA IN SAVANNAH SUBURB

POOLER, GA. -- Ben Carter Enterprises, an Atlanta-based real estate developer, has filed plans with the state of Georgia for the 560,000-square-foot Outlet Mall of Georgia in Pooler, a suburb of Savannah. The project cost is approximately $200 million, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The Outlet Mall of Georgia will feature four anchor stores, a food court, restaurants and additional shops. Peripheral retail and a hotel site can accommodate an additional 500,000 square feet on the property. The proposed development is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014 depending on the state's approval.

CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON NEW ATLANTA-AREA MOVIE THEATER

SNELLVILLE, GA. -- Carmike Cinemas says construction will begin soon on a new 13-screen theater across from a 43-acre, open-air shopping center development known as The Avenue in Snellville. The Carmike 13 will seat 2,800 moviegoers and include the upgraded "BigD" auditorium with a larger screen, plush chairs and enhanced video and audio. The movie theater chain will also have a grand opening for a 12-screen theater tomorrow in Decatur Mall on Beltline Road in Decatur, Ga.

INFOSYS TO EXPAND IN COBB COUNTY, CREATING 200 JOBS

ATLANTA -- Infosys, a consulting, technology and outsourcing firm, has plans to add approximately 200 jobs in the next year at its Cumberland location in Cobb County. The company also expects additional expansion in the metro area during the next couple of years. Career opportunities include financial services, insurance, healthcare, retail and legal process management services. The Cobb Chamber, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Economic Development assisted Infosys in its decision to expand.

JOINT VENTURE SELECTS STREAM REALTY TO LEASE PORTFOLIO

Deerfield Point includes two Class A office buildings
|
ALPHARETTA, GA. -- Crocker Partners, through a joint venture with Five Mile Capital Partners, has selected Stream Realty Partners to lease its newly acquired North Fulton portfolio in Alpharetta. The portfolio includes the 203,000-square-foot Deerfield Point, which contains two Class A office buildings. Stream Realty Partners will also lease Windward Pointe, a 129,894-square-foot, Class A property. Crocker Partners and Five Mile Capital Partners acquired both assets during the fourth quarter of 2012. Benjamin Hautt and Kevin Driver of Stream Realty Partners will lead the leasing efforts on behalf of the owners.
