It's Never Too Late
It's never too late to embrace health and fitness. It is THE ONE THING you can control. Stress and anxiety are at all-time high and while gas prices and food continue to soar, I'm noticing my clients are really benefiting from our weekly, sometime twice weekly, de-stress training sessions.

Everyone can benefit from Dynamic Functional Core Strength training. I’ve been training Tony via Zoom and in person for some time. He quite the advanced ocean athlete and in superior shape. With his goals in mind, I wanted to share with you 3 excellent functional core strength exercises that support and strengthen the shoulders and legs, while constantly requiring the demands of the core muscles. He is preparing for the 26 mile channel crossing, Maui to Molokai this July.
Functional core strength training requires excellent kinetic chain alignment and full body awareness. Each movement is purposeful and correct to keep the body in optimum position during an exercise. This equates to full muscle stimulation and enhanced performance outcomes, and may also help in preventing injuries.

Some of you know I've been loving getting to learn all the technical nuances of the OC1 or outrigger canoe. I've SUP downwinded on Maliko now since 2010 and thought I'd try my skills in the boat! WOW it's different, and very humbling. Its such a different perspective and a blast to go so fast. Talk about an ab workout?!?!
This amazing boat is designed by Kai Bartlett founder of Kai Wa'a Canoes. This is the Pro model and weights in at 13lbs. I've named it OBAKE. Japanese for "grey ghost" which is translated as always transforming. I'm hooked. Photo by Jeremy Riggs.
