HELLO EVERYONE

Well it is a bit of a rush here, but I think I am on track. I have done all the packing for our trip to Germany where you will remember I have an exhibition.

We then get a train down to Klagenfurt in Carinthia, Southern Austria. We will be spending time with my extensive family there and plan to have a lovely break with lots of fun in the bargain. I understand temperatures are 36/38C!!!!

I also wanted to share progress with Bran, the crow and show you our latest edition to our menagerie, 'April'. Here she is. She is a beauty and being cared for by Lucie for 2 months.

Meanwhile the 3 day course with David Tress just finished yesterday and I felt I needed to get these stunning images from his course posted to you, before I leave tomorrow. So here goes.......enjoy.

3 day course

Understanding about space, contrast, a sense of light and shadow in landscape painting, consideration of colour, using a limited colour palette, ......are all the 'building blocks' that David speaks about in his teaching in the theory and practice of drawing and painting. 

After day one students were beginning to understand the language of David Tress and how he uses these particular 'building blocks' to create his own personal  representational work. Sketchbook studies by students provided the inspiration for further paintings  and along with Davids very informative demonstrations, students soon become very focused.
