The newly improved GiveSmartOKC is a tool that can help everyone in our community learn exactly where needs exist, and how they can use that information to create an impact. It's easy to use and packed with information.
Here's a short tutorial on how to make the most of the search tool:
On the homepage, users can now select topics that fit their charitable interests - like animals, children and youth or the environment. Next, users can select an indicator specific to the topic they chose. Indicator information is supplied by U.S. census data. For example, if you are interested in supporting youth in the community, you can use indicators to determine where the largest percentage of children age 14 and under live below poverty. Users can then use a map overlay or the right sidebar populated with charitable organizations that meet their selections, and determine which organizations can use their charitable dollar to create the most impact.
Now that you are more familiar with how the search tool operates, what are key things your organization can do to increase your profile’s visibility in search results?
