It’s summertime, and your audience is encountering your marketing efforts from a poolside chair, the airport lounge, or the passenger seat of a road trip.
Here are three ways to keep audiences engaged when they’re on vacation or on the go:
| |
-
Optimize for Mobile: Your digital audiences are straying away from their desktops and consuming all of their content on their phones. To grab their attention, your ads need to be scroll-stopping. They need to be short, intriguing, and to the point.
-
Tap Into On-the-Go Formats: Think, first, in terms of visuals—especially visuals that match the season (light, bright, easy, and breezy). This includes video. But in this case, you’re not just out to captivate and entertain; your Reels, Stories, and TikToks need to quickly convey information about your brand, product, or offer. Link from visual content directly to mobile-friendly resources that help interested customers complete their purchase or learn more.
-
Simplify the Checkout Process: On vacation mode, no one has time for finicky pathways or difficult checkout processes. It’s important to make it as easy as possible for a spontaneous, indulgent purchase to fulfill its intended mood. Consider summer-friendly versions of your website with one-click add to cart, the ability to autofill forms, and synchronization with Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and other mobile-friendly forms of pay.
| | |
Put yourself in the mindset of your summertime customer—and you can even enjoy the process—it’s like a mini mental break for you, too! Then, you can meet them where they are, metaphorically speaking, by making their encounter with your ad as effortless and rewarding as possible.
And even though it’s already June, it’s certainly not too late: Start converting your existing website and checkout processes into a streamlined, user-friendly experience for your summering audiences today with Mad 4 Marketing.

Birthday shoutout to Chris & Kerry!
In May, we celebrated our amazing President and Senior Account Manager with a full team lunch at Twin Peaks, followed by office fun, thoughtful gifts, and, of course, our favorite treat: Nothing Bundt Cake!
Cheers to another year of big ideas, even bigger laughs, and the best team to celebrate with!

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Star, Chris’ loyal companion and our beloved office mascot.
She’s been a daily part of life at Mad 4 Marketing, curled up under desks, greeting clients, and reminding us all to take the occasional snack break. Star wasn’t just Chris’ dog, she was part of our team, our culture, and our hearts.
She would have turned 16 on July 4, and we already miss her more than words can say.
