JUNE 2015

Manage Your Emotions For A Low-Stress Summer

Get ready to soak up the sun: Summer is here at last!

As much as we all love the experiences the warm season brings, it's good to recognize that with it comes a range of new emotions and challenges. Perhaps you have a family cook-out coming up, a wedding, a vacation, or even a business trip. All of these exciting events can bring on feelings of anxiety and unrest.

To help you calm your anxious energy and enjoy yourself more this season, my associates and I have created several resources for you, including:

  • Insurance-eligible online support group: In May, we introduced the online anxiety support group. The group has now been broadened to focus on more than only anxiety, and it will continue to meet on Thursdays at 8 p.m. this month.
  • A unique workshop for diet and workout success: With swimsuit season upon us, Amanda Pelcher, LMFT, and Rob Kachko, ND, LAc will host a 1.5-hour workshop on how to use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques for success in adhering to your healthy diet and exercise regimen.

Read more on all of these exciting opportunities below! And as always, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to hit the reply button and tell me all about your summer plans, your most recent achievements, or anything that's troubling you. You can always send me any other comments, questions, or suggestions too. Remember, if you ever feel inclined to reach out, I am only a click away!

Wishing you a wonderful week,

May's weekly online support groups were so well received that we are continuing them this month. The groups are now general support groups, so feel free to drop in any week you feel you need extra support, want to stay accountable on therapy goals, are struggling with a new development in your life, a breakup, want tips or advice on a specific issue you're dealing with, etc.

This is a safe place for you to reach out and participate in discussions led by a therapist from Dr. Chloe's office, not to mention a great resource for summer travelers who cannot meet in person. You can even log on anonymously -- learn more here and sign up here!

Your feedback is extremely valuable. Could you please take this 5 second survey on options for this group?
