3 Ways to Advocate for Disability Inclusion | |
What do we do about disability inclusion now that Community Living Month has come to an end?
The answer: action continues every single day … and everybody has a role.
That is why our new vision statement is Creating a Community of Belonging Together.
So, join in! Here are 3 ways you can continue advocating for inclusion year-round:
1. Learn and Share – educate yourself and others about the issues. Share stories, resources, and conversations that promote understanding, inclusion, and belonging.
2. Connect and Support – get to know your local Community Living organization and disability advocacy groups. After all, building understanding and connections is what community is all about.
3. Speak Up for Change – advocate for inclusive policies, accessible spaces, and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Write to local leaders, support inclusive businesses, and champion equity wherever you go.
Thank you for your support and commitment as we continue to promote and advance meaningful choice and real inclusion for people with developmental disabilities, so people, families, and our community can thrive – every day.
The work continues.

Together, We Roll! Help Us Fund Our New Accessible Vehicle
New wheels, new possibilities!
Everyone deserves to access their community, and our new accessible van is here to help make that happen.
With a rear electric lift, wider doors, and removable seats, this van will open doors – literally – for those who need it most.
Since government funding doesn’t cover vehicles, we are relying on grants, an interest-free loan, and generous donors like you.
We have raised $50,000 of our $80,000 goal – will you help us cross the finish line?
Together, we can shift community inclusion into gear. Donate today!

Silence at the Disco Meets Gratitude in the Community
What an unforgettable night!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2025 Silent Disco Dance Party. The beats were bumpin’ (in your headphones), the crowd was jumpin’, and the vibes were through the roof!
A huge shoutout to our incredible Signature Event Partners, including Platinum partners Tall Trees Muskoka and Deerhurst Resort and Gold partners Lovegrove Construction & Design, Dan Willett Financial, Refined Kitchen and Bath Muskoka, Property Prep Canada Inc., Stephenson District Lions Club, and TULLOCH, who made the night possible. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Because of our partners – and the more than 115 people who showed up ready to dance – we raised more than $14,000 in support of our affordable housing initiatives for people and families who access our services!
Same time next year?
