Stop Making Your Customers

Do The Work...

Your customers are busy. They have enough to do. So why make them jump through hoops to do business with you? The easier you can make the experience, the more likely they are to stick around—and remember you when they need you again.

It’s not just about being helpful; it’s also a smart business strategy. Every extra step is an opportunity for someone to give up, get distracted, or decide to go somewhere else. Friction creates frustration, and unfortunately, customers can associate that frustration with your brand.

The good news is that it’s pretty easy to make a few tweaks to alleviate the customer burden. Here’s where we’d recommend starting:

01

Respond quickly. People expect speed these days. They want to pick up the phone and get answers without navigating a complicated menu. They want to make a purchase without clicking through a dozen pages just to find an item and check out. Consider how you can streamline the steps in each of these instances to help them move forward even faster.

02

Reduce the number of fields on your forms. Whether they’re paper or online, forms often ask customers for more information than they actually need to provide. Review the forms your company uses and ask yourself: What can we eliminate? Even removing one unnecessary field can improve the process. Ideally, remove as many as you reasonably can.

03

Make pricing as transparent as possible. People don’t want to spend time searching for an answer to a basic question: How much is this going to cost me? Whether it’s the price of an item or your billing rate, cost is an important part of the decision-making process. If providing an exact figure isn’t possible, make it easy for customers to request a quote based on their needs.

Removing friction from the customer experience can go a long way—not just toward closing a sale, but toward building a long-term relationship. Because when a company puts in the effort to make someone’s experience easier and more pleasant, people notice (even through a screen).

It builds trust. It makes customers more likely to continue their journey with your brand. It can encourage recommendations and referrals. And it gives people another reason to choose you the next time they need what you offer.

A Trip Through the Eras

Once every three years, Mad 4 Marketing has the opportunity to host our Executives’ Association of Fort Lauderdale Craft Talk and Open House, and we definitely made the most of this one!

During our Craft Talk, we shared more about who we are, what we do, and one of the strengths of our multigenerational team: our ability to understand and communicate with audiences from Gen Z to Baby Boomers and everyone in between.

Then, we brought that idea to life at our office with a MAD ERAS PARTY! Guests traveled from the ‘70s and ‘80s through Y2K, Millennial Mile, and Gen Z Alley, complete with themed décor, retro candy and games, tons of photo ops, great food, and even better company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a fun and memorable evening. We loved having the opportunity to open our doors, share a little more about M4M, and spend time with so many great people!

Mad 4 Marketing has a new logo! After 34 years, we weren’t interested in walking away from the brand we’ve built. We wanted to evolve it.

A cleaner, more modern look. A familiar icon, reimagined. And a new tagline that better reflects M4M today.
