Medical Directors - Join Us in San Diego!

If you’re working toward your Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential, make the 2026 CALTCM Summit for Excellence part of your path to certification. Earn valuable CME and CMD hours while gaining practical education designed for today’s medical directors.

Here’s a quick glance at the steps to become a CMD:

  1. Earn CME and CMD hours (The number of required hours ranges from 60-75 hours in addition to the Core Curriculum.) If you need CME & CMD hours - this is your chance to earn hours this month!
  2. Complete the PALTmed Core Curriculum- Part 1 (on demand)
  3. Complete the PALTmed Core Curriculum- Part 2 (LIVE - 2027 courses are open.)
  4. Enter your CME and CMD hours into the PALTmed portal (yes, all 60-75 hours).
  5. Complete the background check information.
  6. Apply (and pay) for your certificate.

If you are certified: Congrats! Recertification requires 120 hours of CME and CMD Management hours - CALTCM educational programs (like the annual meeting) will help you earn these hours.
