Interior Design Update 05.2018
Cory Riley
IDA President
"Spring has sprung (finally!) and I’m excited to start getting to work with our new 2018 / 2019 IDA council."
Welcome to new council members Mae Wu from Kasian in Edmonton, Alan Antioquia from MRU in Calgary, Katelyn Smith from Haworth, and Darren Gee from Dialog in Edmonton. It’s great to have you join us! A council strategic planning session is in the works and we plan to put our heads together to see what we can accomplish this year!  Click here to see the full council .

Thanks very much to the 40 members who came out to our AGM on April 24, sponsored by Teknion in Calgary and Allwest Commercial Furnishings in Edmonton. It was great to see members make the time from their busy days to engage with their colleagues and their association. At the conclusion of our meeting, I had the pleasure of honouring Michele Roach, of Wolski Design Group, for her tireless dedication to our association by making her a fellow member and presenting her with a framed certificate. Michele was nominated by 5 members of the association in recognition for her 17 years of volunteering. Congratulations Michele!

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t take a second to acknowledge and thank my outgoing council members: Adele Bonetti, Suzanne Allard, Sue-Anne Wearmouth, Gale LeBlanc, and Lindsay Zelensky. Thank you all for your tireless efforts, countless hours and thoughtful insights you brought to council over the past 2 years (or more!). I appreciate all that you’ve done to help make my job easier and to move our profession forward.
