Dear parents,
As we get into the last stretch of this school year, with many unknowns as to what each week will look like, we know changes in routine can get chaotic and tiring even for students who are remaining fully virtual. During this time, we have some tips for parents and guardians in keeping up that school stamina for the last couple of months:
- Take frequent breaks: Build into your daily schedule some time to move as a family or to reset and shift focus.
- Build a buffer: Add extra time to routines, like getting out the door in the morning, taking off masks or putting away items at the end of the day, and getting ready for the next activity.
- Communicate, communicate, communicate: Provide warnings of any changes, prime students on what new routines might look like, and check-in to gauge how everyone is feeling.
- Balance and ease into things: Give each other some extra time to move to the next task or thought and allow for moments of flexibility. We are all trying our best and this is a new process to learn and navigate!

Counselors
Dear CNG Community,
As we come into the last two month of this academic year, we should look back and see what an amazing opportunity it has been to learn about us and our families, experience new situations, and grow as human beings. At school we continue developing character and values in our students every day. Over the last weeks we have been focused on HONESTY, so we wanted to give you a few more tools for you to have at home regarding this important trait. Like with most other values, this is an ongoing process, but the rewards are invaluable. In this page 10 Ways to Teach your Children to be Honest you will find clear guidelines to help you in this important job. Remember, everything you do to help your children be their best version of themselves will be repaid in the future. Enjoy the ride!

Athletics & Condor Activities
As Dr. Habegger mentioned in his April 14 “the situation remains highly fluid and unpredictable right now related to making any advance decisions.” For the time being Saturday athletic activities have been postponed (April 17 and April 24). If new information is developed mid-week, the Athletic Department will send out information to impacted athletes from the Skyward messaging system.
Athletics and Condor Activities will continue to stay committed virtually. Students are still evolving and growing while connected virtually with teams. We have attached an article from the Aspen Institute HERE if you are interested in reading about the importance of staying connected and active.
