For the past several years, a generous donor has invited students at Bishop Ryan Catholic School in Minot, North Dakota to participate in a special Talents Project, inspired by the Gospel of Matthew.
Just as the landowner in Scripture entrusted his servants with talents to care for and grow, each student receives $10 and is challenged to multiply it over the course of one month through creativity, service, and entrepreneurship. The results continue to be nothing short of inspiring.
Each year, the students become more imaginative, not only in what they create, but where they share their projects. From selling items out of their lockers to offering goods after Masses and partnering with local businesses, they continue to find meaningful ways to involve the wider community.
While classic bake sales remain a favorite, this year’s projects reflected an especially creative spirit. One student sold original drawings, another designed handmade bracelets, and another created 3D printed products. Others chose the path of service, shoveling snow, babysitting, and helping elderly family members and friends with household chores.
Their hard work, compassion, and dedication blossomed into an extraordinary gift:
🎉 $4,397.72 raised for Angels Unaware / Camp Ray-Ray! 🎉
What a beautiful reflection of young hearts living their faith through action. These students didn’t simply multiply dollars—they multiplied kindness, hope, and love for HIV families served through Camp Ray-Ray.
We are deeply grateful to the students, families, faculty, the generous donor who makes this project possible, and the entire Bishop Ryan community for showing what happens when faith and service come together.
Well done, good and faithful servants. 💙✨
