300 PETS IN 4 HOURS
Thank you Avangrid Renewables for sponsoring the vaccine clinic we held here at H.O.P.E. on Saturday, June 23rd 2018. You made a difference for a lot of families and pets!!

This one-day free vaccine clinic helped 300 pets in just 4 hours!

Dedicated pet owners started lining up at our clinic at midnight and waited until 9 am just to be sure their pets could get vaccinated. We were so thankful we could provide them with the help they needed to keep their pets healthy and happy!
Spaces are FULL
All of our surgery spaces for the August $20 Puppy and Kitten Palooza special are now FULL!

Thank you to all of our supporters who helped spread the word and everyone who scheduled to get their puppy or kitten spayed/neutered!
You all are PAWsome!
Fort Wayne is #10 for Heartworm Disease
http://www.petsandparasites.org/dog-owners/heartworms/
According to the April edition of CAPC...
"Heartworms are common in dogs throughout the United States  (cats can have them, too). They are among the most damaging parasites in dogs but they are almost 100 percent preventable.

Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes and, once mature, they live in the heart and large blood vessels of the lungs. Adult heartworms can measure over one foot in length."

H.O.P.E. for Animals provides heartworm testing for only $12. We also offer heartworm and flea preventative, which you can view at our website or by stopping in at our clinic.

How We Help Our Supporters
“Since H.O.P.E. for Animals opened in 2010, our overall intake of domestic animals has decreased by almost 27%! That’s over 3500 less animals we see at the shelter. The spay-neuter services has had a direct effect on the decreased volume of puppy and kitten litters we previously saw at FWACC.  With the reduction of intake, we are now able to concentrate on more programming that we never had the opportunity to implement prior to them opening. We are hugely grateful for their services and partnership as a coalition.”
