Courtney Reeder is the talented Operations Director for the well-known Golden Rule Seafood in Palmetto Bay. Ms. Reeder was born and raised in Palmetto Bay where she continues to live with her husband and three children. She was instrumental in the development of her family-owned and operated seafood market and restaurant. The Golden Rule Seafood has a longstanding reputation for having the finest quality and greatest selection of seafood in South Florida. The Market was opened in Palmetto Bay in the 1960s by Ms. Reeder’s grandparents and the restaurant opened its doors in 2014. She graduated from Florida International University in 2004 with a degree in Marketing and Hospitality. Ms. Reeder also feels strongly about dedicating time to community service in Palmetto Bay. She formerly served as president and chairwomen for the Palmetto Bay Business Association. She is also very proud to serve as a Board Member of the Deering Estate Foundation. Her election to the Board further extends an endearing family legacy of service and leadership to the Deering Estate. Her father, Walter Flores, is a past president of the Foundation's Board of Directors and now serves on the Board of Trustees. Her mother, Pam Mullins-Flores, a co-founder of the 100 Ladies of Deering, presently serves as their Treasurer. Ms. Reeder also serves as the current Chairwoman of the incredible Deering Seafood Festival for 2021.
