Spring is in the air! See what’s blooming at the 31st Annual Master Gardeners Plant Sale!

(Millbrook, NY) – Trees are budding, flowers are blooming, and the bees are buzzing and that must mean it's time for the annual Master Gardener Plant Sale! Master Gardener Volunteers and Extension staff will be on-site for this fundraiser at Dutchess County Farm & Home Center, 2715 Route 44 in Millbrook, NY for the plant sale on Friday, May 17 from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday, May 18 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Rain or Shine!

Master Gardener volunteers cultivate and offer a diverse range of annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetables for sale. Alongside the tried-and-tested favorites, they also have exciting new introductions to choose from. The volunteers will be present on-site to answer any of your gardening queries and assist you in selecting the best plants for your needs.

"We are thrilled to announce that our upcoming fundraiser will feature a diverse collection of over 13,000 plants," said Heather Brenner, the Community Horticulture Program Coordinator at CCEDC. "Our greenhouses are bursting with plants after the incredible success of last year's sale! To make sure we can offer even more amazing varieties this year, we've added another hoop house. "

The Master Gardener Volunteer Program is an intensive national program of trained volunteers who work in partnership with their local county Cornell Cooperative Extensions to expand educational outreach and information throughout local communities by providing research-based information to home gardeners. The first Master Gardener volunteer program was started in Washington State in 1972. Dutchess County was the first county in New York State (1975) to train Master Gardener volunteers. To find out more details about when our training is offered visit ccedutchess.org. The CCEDC Master Gardener Program is funded through volunteer fundraising efforts and donations from the public like this event. This is the primary fundraiser for the Master Gardener volunteer program, and we count on your support!
