RECENT EVENTS

BOARD OF REVIEW TAX APPEAL WORKSHOPS

We were pleased to host four separate workshops on January 7, January 9, January 14, and January 16 to assist constituents with their Board of Review tax appeals. We are grateful for the collaboration with Commissioner Cardenas and his team from the Board of Review, whose support helped make these events successful. These workshops, held twice a year, aim to guide homeowners through the appeal process and alleviate some of the associated stress. While there is no guarantee that your appeal will result in a tax reduction, we highly encourage homeowners to file.

WINTER COAT DRIVE

We recently partnered with the Helen and Joe Community Organization to host a coat drive for children in local schools, providing them with coats, hats, gloves, and a few extra treats. It was heartwarming to see the community come together to support this effort and give back to those in need. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made this possible! FOREMAN HIGH SCHOOL

I had the pleasure of visiting Foreman High School’s forensic science class, where I was invited to listen to their thoughtful presentations about crime in the neighborhood, which they studied in depth. It was inspiring to hear the innovative solutions the younger generation proposed to improve their communities, and I look forward to seeing their continued efforts. Thank you to Dr. Roberts, interim principal, for creating this opportunity for me to engage with one of the schools in our ward.
