Devastating Storms Hit Chicago
In mid-July, our area was hit by two days of storms, leaving residents without power and a devastating effect on trees. Our ward alone had over 400 tree emergencies, with trees being knocked down and streets filled with tree debris. While ComEd works to restore power, I teamed up with Papo, our hard-working Ward Superintendent, to assist in cleaning up the 31st Ward. The Department of Forestry is prioritizing the removal of trees blocking public pathways, and my ward superintendent, Papo, was working into the night to clear the tree debris. I want to express my gratitude to Papo and our Streets and Sanitation team for their dedication to cleaning up our ward.
