Area 5 Detective Division Blood Drive
The Area 5 Detective Division had a blood drive on April 23, 2024. They had a great turn out as many came forward to give blood. Giving blood is critical as they use these donations are used for patients in need of surgery, cancer treatment, and transfusions for blood loss from traumatic injuries. Give blood, and save a life.

31st Ward Clean and Green
On Earth Day, I organized our 31st Ward Clean and Green event. I am thrilled to say it was a huge success. We had a turnout of over 30 volunteers who worked tirelessly to clean up the parkways on Kolmar Avenue, stretching from Diversey Avenue to Belmont Avenue, the parkways on Wrightwood Avenue, which extends from Kostner Avenue to Cicero Avenue, and Kenton Avenue near the Wrightwood viaduct. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Northwest Center, Maranatha Church, Onward House, and all the volunteers who came out and made this event possible. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

Career Day at Schubert Elementary School
I was invited to participate in Career Day at Schubert School in April. It was a wonderful experience interacting with the kids and introducing them to city government and public service. I got to meet many students and faculty alike. I always enjoy the opportunity to interact with children and try to make some small impact in their lives.

On May 2, 2024, I participated in a "Walk the Block" initiative with the 25th District CAPS and DCO Program, and the 35th Ward Chief of Staff. This initiative aims to increase community involvement in an ongoing investigation of a recent incident in that area. The initiative enables the Chicago Police Department and elected officials to personally interact with the community, possibly leading to the discovery of new information. During the event, we distributed food, "We Call Police" signs, and CAPS/DCO information to the community members. This underscores the importance of community engagement in fostering safer neighborhoods. | |

We express our deepest gratitude to these brave men and women who have selflessly dedicated themselves to preserving our freedom. Let us also take a moment to reflect on and send our thoughts and prayers to the families who bear the weight of their loved one's absence.
