31ST WARD COOK COUNTY ASSESSOR APPEAL WORKSHOPS
Our office has already conducted three tax appeal workshops. We will host our fourth and final workshop at St. Genevieve School, located at 4854 W. Montana St., on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Parking is available on Montana St. and in the teacher's parking lot. We look forward to seeing you there!

EMERGENCY HEATING REPAIR PROGRAM
The Chicago Department of Housing's Emergency Heating Repair Program (EHRP) is set to kick off on November 1, 2024. EHRP provides grants for emergency furnace or boiler repairs to income-eligible owner-occupants of one to four-unit residential buildings. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and funding is limited. Click here for further details.

The Miracle Center (TMC) is excited to invite you to a special event. They are kicking off the holiday season with their Pre-Thanksgiving Salsa Night, featuring the incredible Flaco Navaja & The Razor Blades.
This event will be on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at 5454 W. Diversey Ave. In addition to live salsa music and dancing, they will offer a complimentary salsa lesson with Tabitha DeLao, and showcase delicious food from local restaurants. This evening is to bring the community together and to celebrate in a joyful and festive atmosphere before the holiday rush.

MANAGING DIRECTOR RETIRES
My Managing Director, Angel L. Vega, will retire at the end of November. He has been with me since we began this administration in May 2019. Angel has been an invaluable member of my staff and has sincerely enjoyed serving the residents of the 31st Ward. While I am excited for his future endeavors, he will be greatly missed.
