Dear Scott,
Just a couple of quick notes before the year ends. Our office will be closed December 25, 26, and 27 for the holiday. We will reopen Monday, December 30. We will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1. If you are in need of city services, please call 311 for non-emergency requests or dial 911 if you require immediate assistance. There will be no black or blue cart pickup on Wednesday, December 25 or Wednesday, January 1. All city-collected carts will be serviced on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Residents should ensure all carts are accessible throughout the week of collection, not solely on their regular day of collection.
Both daily and annual residential parking passes will be going up in price in January. You can still buy 2025 daily parking passes at their current price now that will be valid throughout 2025. You can either purchase them online here, at the Clerk's Office at 121 N. LaSalle or their satellite at 5430 W. Gale, or at our office on December 30th or 31st. If you purchase them at our office, you must have an updated driver's license with your current address on it. See below for more information.
If you have a live Christmas tree to get rid of after the holidays, please drop it off at one of 27 Chicago Park District locations between January 11th and 25th during regular park hours. Please do not leave trees in alleys as they present a serious fire hazard. If you have any non-working Christmas lights, you can drop them off at our office through January 31st to be recycled. Please click on the flyers below for more information.
Happy Holidays!
