Because we will be honoring and remembering our dear friend, Newbery Award winning author Patricia MacLachlan (Sarah Plain and Tall) with a series of illustrations from her award-winning picture books, including works by Barry Moser, Kathryn Brown, Bryan Collier, and Micha Archer.

Because 2022 Caldecott Honor artist Micha Archer might arrive on her brand new Snow Horses, bringing her latest Horn Book magazine cover.
Because Bryan Collier brings a Rainbow with him whenever he walks into a room.

Because you will be wiser than a Wise Old Dog if you come to meet Philip Stead, who is flying in from Michigan to meet you!
Because if you come early, unlike the Farmer of her latest book, you can see Caldecott Medalist Erin Stead at the Eric Carle Museum, and then see her original artwork at our gallery.
