Harry Potter Night

We are delighted to announce the return of Harry Potter Night on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. Join us for an enchanting evening featuring a feast in the Great (Dining) Hall and student-led vignettes inspired by the Harry Potter Series.

The evening will include a warm welcome from Professor Dumbledore, a guided tour of Hogwarts led by Hagrid, and appearances by many other Hogwarts professors—all portrayed by Doane faculty, staff, and students in full costume. Guests are encouraged to attend in their finest Hogwarts regalia.

Seating is limited to 130 participants.

Middle School and Upper School students, Faculty or Alumni interested in writing a script or performing should email Ms. Keyes at kkeyes@doaneacademy.org.

Changemakers Book Club

Each year we gather as a community to read a book that sparks meaningful conversations and helps us engage more deeply with our neighbors—especially across differences.

This year we’ll be reading Stuck in Our Screens by Dr. Kathleen Allen, a powerful book about how phones and screens are reshaping communication and deepening polarization. The book offers practical strategies for both adults and children to reclaim healthy connection.

The Book Club will meet in person at Doane and virtually on the following date (6:00–7:00 PM):

April 30th

Doane's Roots - Garden Crew

The Doane's Roots - Garden Crew is open to all students, families, faculty, and staff who are curious about nature, passionate about sustainability, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or brand new, there’s a place for you in our garden beds!

We’ll gather for campus garden maintenance days in both the fall and spring—an opportunity to roll up our sleeves, grow together, and make a visible impact on our community.
