Coronavirus Emergency Financial Assistance Grant Program now available
The 2021 Coronavirus Emergency Financial Assistance Grant application and program information are now available on our website. The program provides NEC tribal members with support for additional expenses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
These funds must be used for increased COVID-19-related expenses for rent/mortgage; utilities; cleaning supplies; personal protective equipment (PPE); food; medical care; elder and disabled care; propane/gas/fuel; subsistence supplies; internet for telework, telehealth, and long-distance learning; distance learning supplies; and other necessary expenses related to COVID-19.
Grants of up to $500 per tribal member are available to help with these eligible expenses incurred January 1 - December 30, 2021. Grant payments require up to 2 weeks for processing after a completed application is received. Incomplete applications may cause delays in processing. Your patience is appreciated.
Funding of this program is in accordance with the federal CARES Act and is non-taxable as a tribal general welfare assistance program.
Have you received a postcard about our annual meeting?
Postcards have been mailed to all tribal members to share information about the annual election and instructions on how to join the virtual annual meeting. If you do not receive a postcard, that means we need updated contact information from you. Please take care of that as soon as possible by using this online form.
Sincerely,
