3rd Dimension Places Order For Additive Industries MetalFAB1

During the Additive Industries partnership event at the Formula 1 race in Austin, Texas, 3rd Dimension Industrial 3D Printing confirmed their first order of a MetalFAB1 system to produce large and high quality parts with amazing productivity rates. The experienced engineering team of 3rd Dimension, with its racing background, recognizes the advantages of the MetalFAB1 in terms of precision and high level of automation to reduce lead-time. Simultaneously the Additive Industries technology allows 3rd Dimension to build big parts in the largest symmetrical build volume commercially available in the market today.

We expect this machine to come online in the first quarter of 2019.

MetalFAB1 Highlights:

-420 mm x 420 mm x 400 mm build volume
-Quad 500W lasers with full build area coverage and Dynamic Laser Assignment
-Multiple build chambers, dedicated to 316L and AlSi10Mg
-Closed loop powder handling and storage for each chamber
-On board calibration systems

Facility Move Coming Soon - Plan Ahead

In order to support our continued growth, we will be moving facilities in late December, 2018.  The new facility will allow room for expansion of both staff and equipment.  In addition to our Additive Industries MetalFAB1, we will be onboarding new equipment to broaden our offerings and improve quality, lead time, and cost.  The new facility is critical in allowing us to pursue NADCAP accreditation in 2019.  If you know you are going to have any "hot" end of year projects, please contact us immediately so that we can plan accordingly.
