3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic hit the ground running in 2023, and we have great news to share. We are officially the new property owner of 800 Innes Avenue, or as we call it, The Cove.

“Over the past few years, the Housing Department has grown tremendously to better support the young people in the community. We are excited about opening "The Cove" on Innes. This provides more visibility in Bayview Hunters Point and is pivotal to our young people to have different locations to come for services."

-Bernah Posadas, 3rd Street’s Director of Housing

As Bernah mentioned, 3rd Street's programming has increased exponentially since our Housing Services launched four years ago. We now offer rapid re-housing, housing case management, location and problem-solving support, emergency housing vouchers, and the city's first navigation center for transition-aged youth, The Lower Polk TAY Navigation Center.

With the hard work of staff, youth, and support from our partners, 3rd Street is now one of the leading agencies in San Francisco to offer housing and homeless response services specifically to young people.

Since 3rd Street has expanded our services to accommodate the needs of our youth, it was essential for us to find more space to continue our great workAfter months of searching, 3rd Street's Executive Director, Joi Jackson-Morgan, found 800 Innes Avenue. The office is centered in Hunters Point near India Basin.

The Cove will be another youth access point for housing and all of the services 3rd Street offers, including Health & Youth Development, Employment, Primary Care, and Mental and Behavioral Health.

It is important to offer services for youth on both sides of our community. We can now serve the Bayview side and the Hunters Point side of Bayview Hunters Point. 800 Inness will be another place our young people can come to feel safe, and get help with work, housing, and their mental health.”

A special thanks to Crankstart Foundation for their generous donation!

3rd Street is humbled and grateful for partners like Crankstart. They help us better the lives of countless young people who, like all of us, need support and a safe space to excel.

Renovation and updates are currently underway at 800 Innes Avenue. We are aiming for an opening date in March 2023. By then, we'll also have added our 3rd Street touches to make it feel warmer and youth-inspired. In the meantime, stay tuned to our newsletters as we continue this journey.
