Code of Ethics Training

Current Cycle: January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024

Realtors® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of Realtors®.

Cycle 7 (January 1, 2022–December 31, 2024) NAR Code of Ethics training cycles run on a triennial basis.

This in-person CE class includes a detailed review of the 17 articles of the Code of Ethics, including how the articles of the Code compare to the licensing obligations, what to do when someone does not comply, and best practices to avoid arbitration. The class will focus particularly on the most recent changes of the last few years. It will include discussion and extensive use of examples and situations.

Interested buyers and sellers often ask real estate agents basic questions regarding kitchen and bath appliances. This course, packed with practical knowledge, will teach participants about the different types of kitchen and bath appliances available to consumers, the basics of how those appliances function, and common problems associated with those appliances. View the flyer here.

By the end of this course, participants will know the following:

  • Describe the basic characteristics of kitchen appliances, including dishwashers, refrigerators, food waste disposals, ranges, ovens, exhaust vents, microwave ovens, and trash compactors.
  • Describe the essential characteristics of bathroom appliances, including mechanical exhaust vents.
  • Identify common problems associated with kitchen and bath appliances.
  • Explain what a home inspector looks for regarding each appliance.

This is to notify you that the satellite office of the Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® located at 1428 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, will permanently close in April. Our headquarters office, located at 14 Old Bridge Turnpike in South River, and our satellite office, located at 3461 US Highway 22 E Bldg.
