Dear Friend of CCSD93,
First Ever CCSD93 Interscholastic Girls Soccer Match!
Yesterday, Jay Stream and Stratford played in the first ever interscholastic CCSD93 Girls Soccer match! I was so happy to be in attendance, and I'm thankful to our school board for approving bringing soccer to our district. It'll provide another outlet for our students and add to the terrific, wide-ranging opportunities we have in place that make up a well-rounded scholastic and extracurricular learning experience. Go Stallions and Jayhawks!
Educator of CCSD93 Students Profiled by Daily Herald This Week, Up for National Teaching Award!
In November, I shared with you that Tara McCarthy, a CASE Adapted P.E. Teacher who works with students at multiple CCSD93 school had been named the Midwest Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) America.

This week Ms. McCarthy was profiled by the Daily Herald. I encourage you to give the article a read to find out about her professional successes and the creativity she brings to her job everyday.

She's up for the National Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year award this week and we've got our fingers crossed for her. Regardless of whether she wins, we're honored to have such an innovative and accomplished educator working with our students.
