Expectations

Important reminder of students' expectations at 4:12:

The good news is that our 4:12 community keeps growing and expanding! Praise God! He is clearly at work in the lives of our students and through them, as so many are inviting friends to join this amazing community.

As we grow, it’s important to keep our 4:12 values and guidelines at the forefront:

  1. Check-In: All students must check in upon arrival. Once checked in, students should not leave the church premises unless a 4:12 leader has given authorization to the student and communicated it properly
  2. Bring Water Bottles: Staying hydrated is important! We encourage students to bring a personal water bottle so they don’t need to step in and out of the sanctuary repeatedly, which disrupts the flow of the program.
  3. Timely Pick-Up: Please pick up your student on time. A 15-minute grace period after the program is understandable, but anything beyond that delays our volunteers—who already give generously of their time—from getting home to rest.
  4. No Phones at 4:12: As a reminder, phones are not to be used during 4:12. Students may keep them in their bags, but they should stay put away during the service. If a need comes up, students can ask a leader for permission to use their phone.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping 4:12 run smoothly as we continue to grow!

How Can You Serve Our Growing 4:12 Community in a Practical Way?

As our 4:12 community continues to grow, we are in need of parents and other willing adults to join the ministry team as 4:12 Parent Volunteers.

Role Description:

  • Assist with the check-in process for 4:12.
  • Monitor the center as students enter and exit the sanctuary.
  • Stay at the check-in area to help latecomers sign in.
  • Provide an extra level of safety and security in the halls, ready to respond if any situation arises.

This volunteer opportunity is from 6:15pm – 7:30pm. You can volunteer as often or as little as your schedule allows. Every bit of help makes a difference!

Please check the available slots and sign up where you’re able

4:12 Teaching Series

We will continue our powerful series of Life in community at 4:12:

  • Session 3: Handling Conflict in Community – Oct 1
  • Big Idea: Conflict is inevitable, but growth is optional. Our community will be stronger when we are willing to grow through and resolve conflict.
  • Question for Discussion: How can we approach conflicts in a way that strengthens our bonds rather than breaking them?
  • Session 4: Comm-UNITY: Authentic Community Requires Unity – Oct 8
  • Big Idea: We’re better together! A strong community requires unity.
  • Question for Discussion: What are some ways we can foster unity within our community?

This series is an excellent opportunity for our students to understand the importance of community, especially as we have just started a new school year. I encourage you to engage with your student about these topics each week using the discussion questions provided. Together, we can foster a sense of belonging and unity.

Parent Resources

In today’s screen-saturated world, the church has a new mission field, the digital space. With kids spending up to nine hours a day on screens and online threats growing, parents are overwhelmed and looking for leadership. That’s where you come in.
