We kicked off the year by focusing on growing deeper roots connected to Jesus. In our current Message series, we are talking about what it means to be grounded and deeply rooted in Christ, and when we are, our faith grows, even when storms come our way we are strengthened by God and His Church.

Last Wednesday's theme was “Be in pursuit” of what God has for you and run the race not to win an earthly prize but to achieve the purpose God has for us.

Next week we will finish the series talking about being Bold to live a life that honors God even when the world tells us otherwise.

On September 27 from 5-8 pm, our youth community will be joining UNITED INVITE at the NewBo Lawn - 1100 3rd St SE, Cedar Rapids

UNITED INVITE Night is a FREE one-night event bringing middle school and high school students from the Cedar Rapid’s Metro area to lift up the name of Jesus and have some fun! This is open to ALL STUDENTS. 4:12 will join the gathering with many other youth groups as well.

Students must be dropped off and picked up at the event location.

5-6 pm Olympic Games

6-7 pm Food Trucks – food for purchase

7-8 pm Worship

Note: If your child can’t attend the whole event, they are welcome to join us when they are available.

God has entrusted you with an amazing task, which is raising loving, faithful, and caring human beings, and even though I know you are doing a great job, I also know it’s not an easy task. That’s why we are hosting a simple, yet meaningful gathering for a conversation that I'd love for you to be a part of. It's our way of connecting with Jesus and each other on all that He says is possible in the lives of students and everyone they know (including us).

We'll cover what you might expect: plans for the school year, information you want to be ahead of, and so on. But we'll also dig deeper into how we can support your child better and partner with you to do so, in their faith journey.

For that reason, we would like to invite you to join us!

We love and care for our students, and that's why we would love to know if there are events or activities your child would like to invite leaders and students to attend. We can't promise we can attend all, but we will try and at least be in the know to cheer and pray for the students.
