New Series

I hope this message finds you well. I'm excited to introduce our upcoming teaching series for the youth group, titled HABITS: Spiritual Practices to Deepen Your Faith. This series is designed to guide our students through five critical spiritual disciplines, helping them grow in their faith journey.

Series Overview

HABITS is a five-week journey based on 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, encouraging students to run with purpose in every step:

  • Session 1: Hanging out with God Big Idea: A habit of prayer helps you run the race of being a Jesus follower. Question for Discussion: What are some ways you can make prayer a regular part of your daily life?
  •  Session 2: Accountability Big Idea: Accountable friendships bring healing. Question for Discussion: Why is accountability important in our spiritual lives, and how can we foster it?
  •  Session 3: Bible Study Big Idea: Building the habit of Bible study teaches you more about God and His ways, helping you run the race of being a Jesus follower. Question for Discussion: How does regular Bible study impact your understanding of God and His plan for your life?
  •  Session 4: Involvement in Church Big Idea: Church involvement means working together to put others first. Question for Discussion: What are some ways you can be more involved in our church community?
  • Session 5: Sacraments Big Idea: Baptism and Communion are ways to honor and celebrate what Jesus has done in our lives. Question for Discussion: What do these sacraments mean to you personally, and how do they deepen your faith?

I encourage you to engage with your student about these topics each week using the discussion questions provided. Together, we can help them build strong spiritual habits that will last a lifetime.

Blessings,

Gonzo Santillan

How Can You Serve Our Growing 4:12 Community in a Practical Way?

As our 4:12 community continues to grow, we are in need of parents and other willing adults to join the ministry team as 4:12 Parent Volunteers.

Role Description:

  • Assist with the check-in process for 4:12.
  • Monitor the center as students enter and exit the sanctuary.
  • Stay at the check-in area to help latecomers sign in.
  • Provide an extra level of safety and security in the halls, ready to respond if any situation arises.

This volunteer opportunity is from 6:15pm – 7:30pm. You can volunteer as often or as little as your schedule allows. Every bit of help makes a difference!

Please check the available slots and sign up where you’re able

Coming Up

Join Us for Fall Fest!

4:12 Youth invites your students to our annual Fall Fest, an evening of food, games, prizes, and a cozy bonfire! Students can wear fun, church-appropriate costumes—silly, festive, or creative, but not scary, as they will be interacting with the Pathfinder kids.  They can invite friends and enjoy a night of laughter, community, and fall fun for all.

2025 Havest Market

The Marion Methodist Women are once again hosting a great Harvest Market and are in need of volunteers to help with the setup and teardown. If you are looking to serve and volunteer as a family, this could be a great opportunity. Check out the following link for slots available:  https://signup.com/go/QBUEbeG

On October 22, after youth group, 4:12 will assist in the setup for the harvest Market, so if your child is available, they can plan to stay for 20 min after 4:12 to serve.
