We kicked small groups off, and they are up and running. The first few gatherings are always about building rapport and making sure students and leaders get to know each other, which takes time but is well worth it.
As a youth pastor, I love to see the transition from students who, in the beginning, feel timid or shy to the time when they start feeling confident in the safety of their small group.
At 4:12, we are blessed to have a group of awesome leaders who love God and love students. They dedicate time and effort every Wednesday night to caring for your students. So, I want to encourage you all to pray for our leaders, show care, and get to know them because they get to be an important part of your children’s lives.
If your child hasn't joined a small group yet, no worries; there is time. Although we know that joining a small group from the beginning is helpful for students to build strong relationships, we leave small groups open throughout the year as we know many students aren't able to join from the start of the year.
