But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, "Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part."
2 Timothy 3:2-4
For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God,
But women will be preserved (saved) through [the pain and dangers of] the bearing ofchildren if they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control and discretion.
and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection].

4/14 ARROGANT, PRIDEFUL or CHILDLIKE?

Good Day! I'm a people watcher. Have been since I was born. I learn a lot by watching and applying it to Christ.
At the supermarkets in Connecticut we are highly asked to wear masks and even some, gloves for shopping. One family member only is allowed to shop at a time. Aisles are marked one way, and, by cash register lines, are markings to keep us 6' apart. And they reserve the right to stop you at the door, if the store has too many people in it.
Yes, we live one hour from New York City, the epicenter of the virus pandemic in America. Like Times Square, our streets are almost bare with traffic. Most retailers are closed. Even on Facebook many people would rather talk "Conspiracy Theories" instead of words of encouragement as required in Scripture. One lady proceeds with no mask, going the wrong way in every aisle as if no one else was around. I am saying all this because some people are being shaken out. Acting more like goats than sheep. Acting more like angry adults instead of having 'childlike faith' and 'peace beyond understanding'. Acting selfish, instead of loving.
Ladies, you were given emotion to protect the children from harm, not to go off on every wind that comes along.
Men, you are given the role to lead and protect. Who is doing the shopping under these conditions? Should you not be at the front of the battle instead of your wife?
Let us pray.
Dear Father God,
Help us to be ever serious about the times that we live in. Let us now put more encouragement and love at the forefront instead of being distracted by what is wrong with the world. What is wrong, we must realize can only be solved by having and displaying Jesus.
In Jesus Holy Name, we pray!
PS: Please pray for a family- a wife and four children that just lost their 54-year old husband/dad to the virus. They live in Brookfield CT. and are friends of a family in our church.
