Message from President

Greetings Soroptimists!

The past, present and future walk into a bar.

It was tense.

Thank-you SI Chico for making Hilarity for Charity a success, an all-around fun evening with a great info fair/reception and something for everyone in what turned out to be a comedy buffet. We will probably never think of shopping in quite the same way again, will we?!
I will be giving the financials of the event soon.

Thanks too for all who worked a shift at the Home and Garden show. It was perfect weather for the event. We are all glad to be enjoying some rain-free weekends, right?

Next up, Erase the Stigma. This event provides a perfect opportunity for us to provide important recovery support for Camp Fire survivors. Let's all do our best to get the word out and fill the room at the Elks Lodge on May 9.

It's another great week to be a Soroptimist!

With Gratitude,
Soroptimist International of Chico
President, 2018-2019
THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM

Some students from CSUC S.T.O.P program are coming to speak about Sex Trafficking.  They will be informing us of its prevalence, as well as some stories of how it happens to these young girls and women.

It should be very enlightening and informative.

It's that time of year again when we choose what committees we would like to be on next year. Please choose up to 3 committees, with 1 being your top pick.  You will ONLY be placed on 1 committee.  If you would like to be a Co-chair, please indicate that on the form and say what committee you want to Co-chair.  To view the duties of the different committees log onto the "Members Only" page of our website and click on "Handbook", then click on Section 3:  Committee Job Descriptions.

I am doing an updated inventory of our storage unit.  It has come to my attention that members still have stuff in their homes or garages that might or might not be on the inventory list.  Some items on the list are not in storage now and I have no clue what happened to them. I know some got removed when we moved to the new storage unit, but since I wasn't at the final move, I don't know who took them. The ones I know for sure that are checked out has your name beside them and the date you checked them out.  Please review the inventory list below and if you have any information please email me.

Thank you,

Joyce Brown
