Lord Jesus, in life I often chase what never truly satisfies. Teach me to seek the food that leads me to life eternal. Strengthen my faith in the work You are doing in my heart and mind. Help me live each day focused on giving You honor and glory. Amen

INTERIM PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Dear Holy Family Community,

While the rain has been a beautiful blessing for central Texas, it has also delayed the completion of the Wisdom roofing project. The project is 90% completed and requires a half day of work. Hopefully, it will be completed as you read this! We are happy to report that no leaks have been discovered with this latest round of rain.

In the Joy building, remediation work has been completed and the remaining drywall repair and reinstalling of HVAC units should be done by early next week. Our little ones and their teachers should have their classrooms back soon. Since the same company is remediating both the Joy and Wisdom buildings, they had not planned to start on the Wisdom building until Monday, May 4th. Given the close timing to the end of the school year, we have decided to delay the remediation until June 1st. This will allow students to stay in their classrooms for the last weeks of school instead of relocating.

I also want to update everyone on the Fund-A-Need project that our community supported at Holy Family's February Gala. I am excited to report that the following items have been ordered and will arrive in early summer: new scoreboards, score tables, branded basketball chairs and chair racks, a table cover, and wall pads. Thank you to everyone who has supported this effort for our athletics program. Please know of my continued prayers for this faith-filled community.

God Bless,

Kelly Laster

PRINCIPAL'S LETTER

“Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire." Saint Catherine of Siena

Dear Parents,

Did you know that 97% of our students plan to return to Holy Family this fall? We are delighted to continue walking alongside so many of our students as they grow in wisdom and holiness next year. Thank you to all our families for allowing our faculty and staff to partner with your family in the education of your child.

Earlier this year, our faculty and staff were invited to share feedback about Holy Family. In response to an open-ended prompt asking what they value most about our school, several themes emerged again and again, including:

  • Adoration and School Mass
  • The new Oratory of the Holy Angels
  • Seeing the students learn and grow
  • Strong, supportive colleagues
  • A supportive administration

We would love to hear from you as well! What do you and your family love most about Holy Family? Please feel free to share your thoughts with Mrs. Laielli at slaielli@holyfamilycs.org or on social media using #LoveHFCSatx.

God Bless,

Erin Vu

Did you know that Angels 4 Life, Holy Family’s pro-life club, focuses on supporting mothers in need. This year we are pairing up with Eagles for Life from St. Dominic Savio in order to host a baby shower for an expecting mother. We would appreciate donations from both school communities to help make the transition to motherhood easier. Suggested items that would help include lots of diapers, onesies, socks, bottles, and baby food. We will also take gently used larger items such as a pack-n-play, crib or highchair. Please deliver unwrapped items by May 8 to the front office. Be sure to label them, “Angels 4 Life.” Thank you in advance for your support! Contact April Morley (amorley@holyfamilycs.org) if you have any questions.
